The Command Chief, also known as the Senior Enlisted Advisor, is the senior-most enlisted cadet in the unit. By default, the Command Chief is given the rank of Cadet Chief Master Sergeant. The Command Chief acts as a liaison between the enlisted corps and the officer corps. He/She also supports all unit rules/expectations, such as esprit de corps, morale, discipline, and mission effectiveness. In some units, the Command Chief is in charge of conducting the enlisted cadet promotion testing system, which may involve the cadets taking a Promotion Fitness Exam (PFE) and/or a drill evaluation.
